I just got a look at some recent photos of work on the site, posted here and on our Flickr site. It’s exciting to see the biorefinery taking shape, a real silhouette on the horizon. Once the plant is operational, there will be a lot of material moving in and out of that biomass building. Project LIBERTY will process approximately 770 tons of crop residue per day, material that will be baled by area farmers and delivered to the site throughout the year. The biorefinery’s initial capacity will be 20 million gallons per year, ramping up to 25 million gallons per year.
Work will continue as weather permits. Check back for more updates.
